Google Reduces Cookies Lifetime in Your Computer

Google plans improve its privacy plans by shortening the cookie time in your computer before it expires.

The search engines and most of the websites use cookies to save the settings stored in their client machine or server. This usually includes preferences you set when visited it last time like filter to adult content and. This news as always has been published in Google’s official blog.

“After listening to feedback from our users and from privacy advocates,” wrote Peter Fleischer, Google’s Global Privacy Counsel, “we’ve concluded that it would be a good thing for privacy to significantly shorten the lifetime of our cookies — as long as we could find a way to do so without artificially forcing users to re-enter their basic preferences at arbitrary points in time. And this is why we’re announcing a new cookie policy.”

Google will be sending cookies in the day to come where the cookies will be set to auto-expire after 2 years. Regular user will have their cookies renewed regularly.
